What is recorded here

Fairy forts are often called forts because people once built them as forts. They are not fairy made. Build a round home, defend it, leave it empty, and it becomes a fairy fort in the mouths of everyone who comes after.

In pasture, atop ridge. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace, except that ridge crest is level.
