Twenty-one metres of packed earth and stone circle the top of a low hill, forcing whoever entered to walk beside a shallow ditch before facing the interior. The Ferta river valley stretches below the broken bank, while trackways and modern walls cut through the ancient line. People may have stood there to watch water move or keep livestock from the valley, but the fort still holds its shape against time and forgetting.

Internal diam. 21m N-S Situated on the top of a low hill overlooking the Ferta river valley, this roughly circular univallate rath is located 115m SE of KE070-057----. It consists of a considerably disturbed and densely overgrown bank and external fosse. A trackway interrupts the bank at N, and a modern field wall overlies it at W. The fosse is best preserved at S, where it averages 4.8m wide and 1.6m deep below external ground level; a stream skirts the bank at N and E. The bank, of earth and stone composition, has an external height of 1.7m and an internal height of 1.3m. It averages 1.4m wide, and an area of external stone facing at NW may be of recent date. The interior of the site is heavily overgrown and is traversed by further trackways. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
