What is recorded here
Fairy forts are never empty. They wait for the right kind of attention. Ballynabearna is no longer visible, but the land still carries the shape of what was removed. The circle may have been a home, a boundary, or a chamber for visions. It is not gone so much as hidden from ordinary sight.
In tillage, on gentle S-facing slope. Monument, depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map as roughly circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 35m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
