Fairy forts are earthen rings people stopped calling homes after they forgot the rules for living inside them. In Ballymurphy Upper the ring is thirty-two metres across, broken to the north and west, with a ditch sweeping from southeast to southwest. The field fence cuts through it now, and the interior has gone thick with vegetation. What is certain is the shape: a circle made by hands, changed by time, and still standing where the land remembers it.

Incorporated into E-W field fence. Circular area (diam. c. 32m) enclosed by overgrown earthen bank (int. H 1.1m); gaps to N (Wth 6m) and W (Wth 4m). Overgrown fosse SE->SW.
