Fairy fort in Ballymackeamore: a 24-metre earthen ring in level Limerick pasture, its bank and fosse still drawing a complete circle beneath dense overgrowth. The western edge stands scarped and broad, the eastern bank lower but unbroken, while a mature tree holds the raised centre above the nettles. An avenue leaves the southeast toward a dwelling to the north, tying the old ring to the living farm. People may have circled it, feared it or simply passed it; the earth has kept its shape regardless.

In level pasture. Circular area (24m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.45m) E->W and defined by scarped edge (H 1.45m; Wth 6.8m) W->E, with external fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 2.25m) around full circuit. Enclosing element is largely covered by dense overgrowth. Immediately outside fosse SE->NE is much-eroded field boundary, whilst immediately outside fosse NE->SE is avenue leading to dwelling to N. Interior, raised above level of surrounding terrain, slopes down gently towards centre where mature deciduous tree stands, otherwise interior covered with nettles.
