Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

No amount of thinking will invent facts for an empty chamber.
Situated on the E-facing slope of a drumlin. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A circular overgrown area (diam. c. 30) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at W: Wth 4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.6m), overlain by a field bank W-NE, which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m) E-SSE. There is no visible fosse, but an entrance (Wth 5m) at SE may be a widened original entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 2 May 2017
