Knockbrack mountain shades a flattened circle where half a fort still rises above the grass. Men levelled the rest in the 1950s, yet the western edge holds at 1.6m, a stubborn ledge under open sky. The missing bank may have measured 31 by 34m, large enough for fires, arguments and the ordinary clutter of living.

The circular enclosure marked at this location on the second edition of the OS maps was levelled in the 1950s (local information). Its W half survives as a raised platform, standing 1.6m above external ground level. This, combined with slight surface indications of an enclosing bank elsewhere, suggests that the enclosure measured approximately 31m N-S x 34m E-W. The site was located on a low natural rise just N of Knockbrack mountain. Lispadrickmore (KE065-085----), a rath, lies about 120m to ESE. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
