Mature trees break the southern sky above a forgotten kitchen, their roots drinking water from the buried fosse while cattle graze the gentle interior slope. The earthen bank still stands one metre high, marking the exact distance between human ambition and earthly limit. You are not invading when you sit inside the circle because the circle exists to be inhabited. The fort is complete, the boundary is drawn, and the living world has already consented to share the space.

In pasture, on sharp S-facing slope. Circular area (26.8m N-S; 26.7m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.35m; ext. H 0.9m), which is covered by overgrowth N->S. Internal bank height highest along N arc. External fosse (Wth 3m; D 1.45m) evident SSW->W and WNW->ESE, and is generally covered by overgrowth.
