Fairy fort in Ballyhorgan South, County Kerry: a circular earthen enclosure mapped in 1841-42, absent from later surveys, with no visible trace left. It may have marked a dwelling, a boundary, or a place people avoided after dark. Whatever it was, the land kept its shape long enough for one map to catch it, then gave it back to grass and rain.

This circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 OS map, but does not appear on the later edition and no surface trace remains. The above description is derived from C.
