Fairy fort in Ballyhoodane is a circular earthen ringfort in wet Limerick pasture, conjoined to another ringfort and near an enclosure. It resisted ordinary mapping for decades, surfacing instead through aerial photography and satellite imagery. The flat, drowned landscape hides a boundary marked by rings, water and forgetfulness.

In low-lying, wet pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 40m W of a stream which also marks the townland boundary with Doonvullen Lower. Conjoined with ringfort (LI023-043----) to ESE and an enclosure (LI023-167----) lies 35m to N. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 174.1: AP 4/3711). Monument is visible as a circular-shaped cropmark (diam. 30m E-W; 28.5m N-S) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 06/02/2018.
