Fairy fort in Ballyhar, County Kerry: a shallow earthen ring, about thirty-two metres across, on a low rise beside a road. In the 1840s it was noted near a children's burial ground, giving the humble bank a sharper edge. People may have lived there, marked it, or avoided it; the earth still holds the shape of that choice.

In pasture, to the SW of a road, on the summit of a low rise. A roughly circular and slightly raised area (c. 32m E-W) defined by a low rise (Wth 12m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1.15m) NW-NNE and by a slight intermittent scarp elsewhere. A road skirts the rath at E. The interior is slightly concave. This is probably one of the two raths (see KE058-028----) in the W end of the townland and 'near the children's burial ground', which were mentioned in the 1840s (OSNB, Kilcredane, 12). This rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m). A children's burial ground (KE058-104----) is c. 170m to the SE.
