In pasture. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) hachured ENE->SW, indicated by broken line elsewhere. Hachured arc ENE->SW depicted on 1903 and 1940 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to Hartnett (1939, 256), fort 'levelled...slight traces of the earthwork remain, showing that the diameter was about 180 feet'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
