Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyglass South,ballyglass West (ballymoe By.) stands in grassland overlooking bogland to NW. It measures NNW-SSE 38m and WSW-ENE 37m, with a degraded bank from SW through N to E and traces of an external fosse at E. A field boundary now crosses part of the enclosure, reminding visitors that human hands keep shaping even abandoned places.
In grassland overlooking bogland to NW. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (NNW-SSE 38m, WSW-ENE 37m) defined by a degraded bank from SW through N to E, and elsewhere by a scarp. A field boundary overlies the enclosing element from ESE to SW. Traces of an external fosse survive at E.
