What is recorded here

No visible trace remains today, though survey maps from the 1840s marked a circular enclosure in Ballygarret. The earth has swallowed the boundary, erasing the fort from sight but not from memory. What disappeared may have been a home, a marker, or a threshold between people and story. The land keeps what it wants and gives back only shadow.

This circular enclosure appears on the 1841-42 OS map. On the later edition only a tiny section of the S to SE bank is marked. Today, no visible trace remains.
