What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a NE-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 31m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by scarp (Wth 1.35-2.5m; H 1-1.65m). Entrance (Wth 4.5m) at E and breach (Wth 2.5m) at S. Berm (L 16m; Wth 4.75m) SW-WNW defined by scarp (Wth 0.85m; H 0.75m) with possible trace of bank at SW-terminus. Fosse (overall Wth 4.05-6.8m; basal Wth 1.7-2.65m; D 0.9-1m). Possible outer bank (overall Wth 1.75-3.5m; ext. H 0.35m) seen SE-SW, is obscured at SW-end. Interior is grass covered and uneven in N-half where a bulk of organic material has been deposited. Field boundary (long axis NE-SW) to N has been removed ad replaced by a trackway. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
