Situated on a SSE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area (diam. 27m N-S) enclosed by a well-preserved earthen bank (Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.3-1.3m; ext. H 2-3.5m at SE) and external fosse (Wth 4-7m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 4m) at E. A field fence intersects the fosse from E through S to W.
