What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Ballydaheen is a broken earthen circle, thirty metres across, with a shallow ditch and a saucer-shaped middle. It sits on a north-facing slope in pasture, partly levelled but still marking the boundary between human fields and older, unnamed ownership. The bank rises where it can be seen and vanishes where carts or ploughs took it. That is not emptiness. It is a shape remembered by the land, waiting for someone to stop measuring and start listening.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (30m N-S; 30.1m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 0.8m) S->SE, with external fosse (D 0.5m). Bank levelled SE->S with only faint trace of external fosse surviving. Interior saucer shaped. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
