Fairy forts hide or vanish because humans want them solid. Ballycullane Upper removed its ring from sight, leaving only a missing circle in the field. The nearby fort still stands because it stopped performing for human belief.

In undulating scrubland, at foot of N-facing slope. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, appears to have been levelled.
