What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Ballyclogh, County Limerick: embanked circular enclosure about twenty metres across, marked on the 1841 Ordnance Survey map but lost in impenetrable undergrowth. The woods keep their own counsel. What humans built or believed there has slipped back into shadow, leaving only a line on old paper and a place name that sounds like laughter.
In woodland. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, could not be located in impenetrable undergrowth.
