Fairy fort in Ballyadeen, County Cork: earthen ringfort, diameter about 20 metres, in level pasture. A 24-metre arc from south to northwest still stands, the bank rising 1.15 metres inside and 1.3 metres outside. People may have lived there, marked ownership, kept livestock or simply followed an old line of land. The fairies keep the rest.

In level pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; indicated as arc (S->NW) incorporated into field boundary system on 1905 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps. Arc (C 24m) formed by earthen bank (int. H 1.15m; ext. H 1.3m) survives S->NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
