Fairy fort in Ballinoroher, County Cork: earthen ringfort, marked circular enclosure on O.S. maps of 1842 and 1902, levelled c. 1961. It stood on an E-facing pasture slope with a wide N->S view, then a laneway cut through the place and the ridge was lost. Perhaps people walked past it for generations, seeing a small bump rather than a fort, until workmen removed what remained.

In pasture, on E-facing slope, extensive view N->S; SW of circular enclosure (CO136-005---). Marked as circular enclosure on both editions of O.S. map (1842, 1902). Levelled c. 1961. Undulating ground; modern laneway cuts site. Shallow circular depression (diam. 0.8m; 0.2m) c. 36m to E of site.
