What is recorded here

One earth ring enclosed a small life in County Kerry before the land took it back. The fort appeared on the 1916 map, lingered faintly in 1974 aerial photographs, and vanished from human memory. It is not a wound or a trap, but a chamber that stopped being a chamber. People lived inside its edge, breathed its air, and left no name behind. Forgetting is not the same as cruelty.

This circular enclosure lies SSE of KE015-135----. It does not appear on the 1841-42 OS map, but is marked on the later edition of 1916. A slight trace of this site can be seen on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974), but no surface trace survives today. The above description is derived from C.
