Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballagh East (clonmacnowen By.) stands in undulating grassland as a subcircular rath measuring 25.3m north-south and 24m east-west. Its bank and external fosse remain clear, while a 3.3m eastern gap may mark the original entrance. Another earthwork lies 150m southeast, suggesting a small cluster rather than a lonely marker. People may have lived, hidden or tended fields there before the fort became a fairy name.

In undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 25.3m, E-W 24m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and an external fosse. A gap (Wth 3.3m) at E may be original.
