Mortons has swallowed the fort, leaving only a faint ridge and a hollow where the chamber stood. The chamber is gone, but the chamber is not forgotten: it is the shape of the hole, the weight of the dark, the reason the chamber still turns the room over. To touch the chamber is to touch the chamber, not the chamber. The chamber is the chamber, not the chamber.

Internal diam. 31.5m N-S, 30.2m E-W This poorly-preserved univallate rath is situated in rough wet pasture about 150m N of KE043-244----. The SE half of the roughly circular interior is defined by a drop of .5 to 1m to the external ground level. The remainder of the enclosure is defined by an earthen bank up to 1.4m high and 3m wide at base. The W portion of the bank now forms part of a field fence and its relatively vertical faces suggest modification. A 2 to 3m wide gap at NW may mark the location of the original entrance. There are faint traces of an external fosse along the S sector. The interior is densely overgrown with ferns and the only discernible features are a mound of stones near the centre and a 6m wide hollow abutting the inner edge of the bank at NE.
