What is recorded here

Two earthen banks and a hidden ditch circle a ridge in Ashfield Demesne, forming a well-preserved ringfort wide enough for dozens of people to move inside. A man-made passage cuts into the north-west interior, suggesting the fort contained more than an open field or temporary shelter. The grassland still holds the shape of that choice, while the true purpose of the underground way remains unknown.

On a ridge in undulating grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (38.5m E-W; 32m N-S) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse survives from SE through W to NE. The outer bank is visible from SW through W to NW. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA128-005001-) in the NW quadrant of the interior.
