What is recorded here

Three narrow gaps in the eastern bank invite entry into a circular chamber twenty-one metres across, where an unexplained oval depression still marks the centre. The earthen wall stands taller outside than inside, its outer flank reinforced with drystone masonry against the Dingle Peninsula weather. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped within that ring before the gaps became mere holes in ancient ground.

Internal diam. 21.5m. This circular univallate rath lies 75m to E of KE054-008----. The earthen enclosing bank is c. 1.25m high internally and 1.5m high externally, and its outer flank is partly faced with drystone masonry. Access to the interior is provided by 3 narrow gaps in the ESE sector. The only feature visible in the interior is an oval depression measuring 9m E-W x 5.4m N-S; its origin is not known.
