What is recorded here

Fairy forts are not fantasy. They are human places from before written memory, built by ordinary people who are no longer named. Arda Mór is one of them: a shallow circle of earth on a Kerry hillside, partly forgotten but still whole in shape. The chamber is empty, the doors closed, the lights off. That is not death. It is patience. The woman is waiting for the boy to return, and the hill is holding her breath.

The outline of the circular univallate enclosure marked on the 1st edition of the OS map is now only faintly discernible. It has an estimated diameter of 28.5m.
