Five metres of packed earth and stone still stand in the flat pasture beside the Inny, enclosing a space wide enough for a house, a byre and every argument about where the front door belongs. The bank rises two and a half metres at its tallest, yet three gaps break it, and the northern one feels made later, as if someone stopped trusting the old entrance and cut a new way through. Inside, a narrow opening disappears into rubble beneath the west grass, perhaps a passage dug when the fort was young or a hole fallen from above. People may have lived there, buried things there or simply avoided it after forgetting what it was for.

Internal diam. 24.55m N-S, 26.4m E-W This well-preserved rath is located in flat pasture on the N bank of the Inny river. The enclosing bank of earth and stone varies from .95m to 2.5m in external height, from .95m to 1.35m in internal height and has an average basal width of 5.5m. It is not clear which of the three gaps in the bank marks the original entrance, though that at N appears to be secondary. An opening to a Man-made underground passage (KE080-060001-), .9m x .4m, is located in the W sector of the rath's interior. The passage is filled with debris and is no longer accessible. The OSNB refer to a Lismore (Lios Mór) and a Lisbeg (Lios Beag) in this townland (Drummod, 28-9). It seems probable that this and the following site (KE080-061----) are the monuments to which they refer. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
