What is recorded here
No amount of grief or gold can reopen a closed chamber. The killer is already dead, the victim is already missing, and the way forward is to stop repeating the same request.
This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure which has been slightly cut to the NE by a fieldbank. It does not appear on the later edition and no surface trace of it remains today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 375. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
