What is recorded here
That is a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort in Aghalattafraal, derrylurgan, County Cavan, Ireland. It is a raised circular area, about thirty-nine metres across inside the banks, enclosed by two substantial earthen banks with a wide, deep, waterlogged fosse between them. The inner bank has a break at the east with slight remains of a causeway, likely the original entrance, while the outer bank is disturbed there. Two shallow depressions inside probably mark a man-made underground passage, and the whole place still feels like a room the land forgot to finish building.

A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Aghalattafraal, Derrylurgan, is a likely early-medieval defensive or habitation site, characterized by a raised circular area with two earthen banks and a waterlogged fosse. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy lore, often regarding them as the homes of supernatural beings or portals to the Otherworld.
