Barnageeragh in County Dublin hides a Bronze Age roundhouse, burial, burnt mound and later ringfort beneath ordinary ground. Archaeologists traced seven postholes around a central hearth, recovered tentative Bronze Age pottery and flint, and identified souterrains within the northern ringfort. The layering suggests people kept returning to the same place across centuries, building, heating water, burying the dead and storing or sheltering in stone-lined passages long after the first timber frame rotted away.

Pre-development testing in 2003 revaled a section of ditch of medieval date (Wth 5.5m, D 2.5m). Medieval pottery and a piece of dressed Dundry stone were uncovered (Hayden, A.2006, 140 in Excavations 2003).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
