Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth: six pits and a section of medieval town fosse emerged in 1995. Some pits held late 13th to 14th century pottery, marking them as later than the fosse itself. They varied in size and construction, suggesting repeated use rather than a single event. The street may have swallowed what the town no longer wanted to carry.

Six pits and a section of the medieval town fosse were excavated at this location in 1995 (Excavation Licence 95E0168).
