Beneath the future building at No. 13 Church Street, hidden pits and linear features waited for copper tools to reveal their medieval shape. They held forgotten artifacts and marked the quiet busy life of Dundalk long before modern walls rose above them. The excavation did not create that history; it merely stopped the soil from keeping the secret a little longer.
