Archaeological testing (03E0962) just N of the graveyard of St. Mary’s church (WX029-013002-) and c. 50m NE of the N transept uncovered a pit (diam. c. 1.4m; D 0.8m) from which 15 sherds of medieval pottery were recovered. (McLoughlin 2006)
