Excavation

In pasture, on a S-facing slope. Archaeological excavation, prior to development works, revealed a single oval pit with a linear westward extension (Dennehy 2002b, 147). The pit contained evidence of in situ burning and recutting, indicating that it was used and cleaned at least twice (ibid.). Dennehy noted that 'there were no inclusions to indicate a time-frame or function' for this pit. Another pit (KE093-124----) lies c. 185m to the SE.
