On the S slopes of Knockdeen Hill. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3862). A number of pits, post-holes and stake-holes in no obvious pattern although there were two notable clusters and two possible unrelated alignments. Four sherds of Beaker pottery were identified from one of the pits in one of the alignments. A sample from this pit yielded a radiocarbon date of 1878-1689 cal BC (UBA-12227). A sample from a pit in a cluster c. 10m to the S produced a date of 2871-2584 cal BC (UBA-12229). (Elliott 2010, 245, 922; Elliott and Coughlan 2011)
