Excavation in County Limerick, Ireland, revealed two small post-medieval pits during the Pipeline to the West. Kate Taylor uncovered them, exposing ordinary human activity buried beneath modern development. The pits suggest someone lived, worked or discarded things there centuries before the pipeline cut through the same soil.

This site was examined as part of Bord Gáis Éireann's Pipeline to the West. Two small pits were excavated by Kate Taylor (02E0629) and these turned out to be post-medieval in date. (Grogan, O’Donnell & Johnston 2007, 246-7) Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 28 February 2013
