Excavated (E3466) during 2005 by E. Devine as Site 1 at Frankfort, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. An oval pit (dims 1.14m x 1m; D 0.33m) contained over 187 pieces of Beaker domestic pottery. The pit contained burnt material and also two silt layers indicating periods of disuse. A corn-drying kiln (dims 2m x 0.9m; D 0.3m) was nearby together with other pits, two of which produced small amounts of Beaker pottery. Some hollows created by the removal of trees were also noted.
