Evie Hone was born at Roebuck Grove, Donnybrook, on 22 April 1894, but her mother died two days later, leaving the youngest daughter inside a house already marked by loss. She later became a pioneering cubist and stained glass artist, creating the East Window for Eton College and My Four Green Fields for Dublin. Her life moved from childhood illness and Swiss lessons to Paris studios and Irish exhibitions, turning personal hardship into vivid light.
