Ettie Gluck, born Steinberg around 1914, attended school in County Dublin before living there from 1925 to 1937. Arrested in Toulouse in 1942, she was interned at Drancy, deported to Auschwitz, and murdered on 4 September 1942. Her name on a memorial preserves the girl who ran through those streets, not the victim the regime manufactured.
