Estate Yard in County Kilkenny served the vast Wandesford Estate as stables, farmyard and kitchen garden, but earlier it hummed as a water powered mill, metal foundry and linen works during the 1700s. The yard still carries that layered labour, where water, fire and cloth may have transformed before becoming soil and sustenance. It is a memorial to forgotten industry, reminding us that grand estates depended on smaller hands and harder machines.
