What is recorded here
Enclosure rath in Ballybogy. Uncertain when built, uncertain where it stood, certain only that someone drew a line around living space and called the line strong enough to keep out what they feared. The survey marked a point, not a wall, yet the act of enclosing remains: a circle drawn against chaos, resistance made visible, memory shaped before forgetting could flatten it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE -rath? (O.S. memoir site, unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
