Moore's Fort stands in County Antrim as an enclosure perhaps built as a rath, its age still uncertain but its shape preserved enough to mark on a map. The name suggests a person called Moore may have lived there, owned it or been remembered through it, while the word rath hints at a defensive ring older than written ownership. Whatever it was, it held a boundary between inside and outside, and that boundary still exists.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE - RATH?: MOORE'S FORT. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
