Enclosure in Walterstown — Report the wrong picture

Situated on a steep-sided natural platform between a steep stream gully (at the W) and the King's River (at the E). Subrectangular enclosure (dims. 18m N-S; 13.5m E-W). The edge of the platform is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1-1.5m; H 0.5-1m) at the E, S and W. The entrance consists of a track (Wth 1.6m) formed by the incurving of one terminal of the bank and the outcurving of the other. Hachured on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
