What is recorded here

Enclosure in Trienearagh was a children's burial ground in County Kerry, marked on maps from 1841 to 1939 before a plough erased it in the 1940s. Only a shallow six-by-four-metre depression remains, yet the loss feels sudden because the place was small enough to overlook and sacred enough to remember. Forgetting it requires turning soil over repeatedly; remembering it requires stopping beside an ordinary field and asking what the field took.

Marked on the 1841-42 and 1939 OS map as 'Killeen Children's Burial Ground' and noted as 'disused' in 1939, it was completely ploughed out in the 1940s.
