What is recorded here
Enclosure in Rinville West may no longer exist. Quarrying removed what little remained after McCaffrey saw it in 1952, leaving only a disused pit and ordinary ground where a boundary once stood.
According to McCaffrey (1952, 144), there was 'an enclosure (?)' immediately to the W of the rath (GA095-128001-). It was 'much damaged by quarrying'. The area was searched but no visible surface trace of any monument was visible. A disused quarry pit was noted to the N but, likewise, nothing of archaeological significance was discernible. The 'enclosure' may have been completely quarried out following McCaffrey's inspection.
