Enclosure in Meennaraheeny, County Cork, Ireland: in pasture on a south-facing slope, local tradition holds that a circular fort stood there. Reclamation and removed field fences erased the visible trace, yet a faint circular line still appears in an aerial photograph. The land may have kept the shape long after people stopped naming it.
