Maulnahorna holds eight small circular enclosures, including one marked KE092-004002, scattered across its interior and immediately north. The main site contains a low semicircular bank and a central 4m fionnan, suggesting a place where several people lived or worked side by side. Whether the bank belongs to the same time as the rath remains unknown, but the cluster gives the hill a busy, inhabited feel rather than a lonely one.

A low semicircular earthen bank traverses the S half of the site's interior, abutting its enclosing element at SSE and SW. It is not clear if this feature is contemporary with the rath. Almost centrally located is a circular fionnán enclosure (KE092-004002-), 4m in diameter. Seven similar enclosures are located in the area immediately N of the site.
