What is recorded here

Enclosure in Magheraweeleen is an 18m square of grassed stone on a Clare karst slope, still visible in satellite imagery long after people stopped naming it. A later field wall crossed its west side, turning an old boundary into a ordinary farm line. Thirteen metres southwest, a megalithic tomb waits in the grass, suggesting the enclosure may have marked death rather than domestic life.

On the gentle S-facing slope of a karst plateau and within a multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-). A square enclosure (diam. c. 18m) defined by a grassed-over stone wall. Visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013) and on OSi orthophotography (MapGenie 2013-2018). A later field wall (townland boundary) overlies the W side.
