Enclosure in Loughourna

Situated on a slight SE-facing incline in lush meadow. Depicted on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map as a small circular enclosure or mound and not depicted on the 1901-5 ed. The outline of a circular area (dims. 21.4m N-S; 20.9m E-W) defined by a fosse is visible as differential grass growth. The site may have been an enclosure or mound, surrounded by a fosse.
